On A Personal Note
Before I Start Talking About Coffee: A little bit about Hawaiian
Kona Coffee Company.
On a personal note before I
start talking about my favorite subject, I just want to say a
little bit about our company Hawaiian Kona Coffee Company.
The Hawaiian Kona Coffee
Company was born out of a joint venture between a group of
people that love Hawaiian Kona Coffee and felt the need
to create a Hawaiian Kona Coffee Company that would
provide the best coffee in world;
bar none!
As a result we formed
Hawaiian Kona Coffee Company with the idea that any company
that names itself Hawaiian Kona Coffee Company had better
provide the finest coffee that is available for any price
from any company.
This might imply to some that
our company's Hawaiian Kona Coffee is expensive or
out of the range of the average individual.
We are happy to announce that
Hawaiian Kona Coffee Company not provides 100% guaranteed
pure Hawaiian Kona Coffee but the Hawaiian Kona Coffee
Company will ALWAYS
roast your coffee exactly the way that you like it and
that the Hawaiian Kona Coffee Company will NEVER roast a
single bean of coffee before it is ordered.
We have made this commitment
for the simple reason that the founders of Hawaiian Kona
Coffee Company were tired of paying sky-high prices for our
Hawaiian Kona Coffee and then getting stale coffee.
Many of our competitor's
company are willing to roast coffee months
before they ship the coffee. After all, it is easier for a
company to roast huge vats of coffee rather than roasting it
individually like we do at Hawaiian Kona Coffee Company.
On the other hand that costs
more money and most of the company competitors to
Hawaiian Kona Coffee Company are owned by big
conglomerates that are looking at one thing only; corporate
profit.
Do not misunderstand, the
owners of Hawaiian Kona Coffee Company need to make a
profit just like the rest, but the difference is that
Hawaiian Kona Coffee Company only roasts and ships coffee
when our customers actually order it.
Hawaiian Kona Coffee
Company is a medium size coffee roaster that is able to buy
the finest coffee beans at prices competitive with the big
company conglomerates, but due to our significantly lower
overhead, we can roast and ship our coffee at a fraction of the
price of the "big boys".
By the way Hawaiian Kona
Coffee Company has a lot of other great coffees...you need
to check them out as well!
So give Hawaiian Kona
Coffee Company a try. We guarantee that you will love
our coffee and that you will come back time after time to
Hawaiian Kona Coffee Company once you experience our
fantastic quality Hawaiian Kona Coffee.
The Story Of Hawaiian Kona Coffee
As I sit here in New
Jersey writing this article with the aroma of fleshly roasted
Hawaiian Kona Coffee brewing in my
Cruisinart, still images of that beautiful land causes me to
drift to a time and place where life moves at a more deliberate
pace, the air is clean, the people are inviting and
Hawaiian
Kona Coffee grows.
Fortunately, this time and
place exists today and is home to the only land on earth that
can boast that its exquisite
Hawaiian Kona
Coffee Company production is
“Made in the USA”.
To understand the pedigree
of Hawaiian Island coffees, it is important to note that
Hawaiian
Kona Coffee is just one
type grown on the Islands.
Hawaiian Kona
Coffee is planted on around 2000 acres mostly on the
dew kissed slopes of Hualalai and Mauna Loa in a 40 square mile
region located in the North and South District of Kona on the
“Big Island”.
Hawaiian
Kona Coffee Company has earned its
reputation as one of the best in the world because, among other
things, of the local farmer’s focus on quality of growing
Hawaiian
Kona Coffee, harvesting
the coffee and processing and
milling techniques unique to the
Hawaiian Kona Coffee
Company.
It was not an overnight
success though.
Hawaiian Kona Coffee
plants first came to Captain Cook, Kona around 1828 and by 1842
a robust
coffee
trade was established only to have the
Hawaiian
Kona Coffee trade be
decimated by insects in late 1850’s.
Today there are over 600
farms, averaging only about 3 acres per farm growing this
special Tyipca variety.
Total annual production of
Hawaiian Kona
Coffee is around 2 million pounds and accounts for
approximately 1/3 the Hawaiian Islands total coffee production.
So what about the other 2/3’s or 6 million pounds
of coffee produced each year in the State? Let me tell you
folks there some gems, hidden in plain site, on the other
Islands of Maui, Molokai, Oahu and Kauai.
Over the next several articles
about
Hawaiian
Kona Coffee and the
Hawaiian Kona Coffee Company, we will travel
together to these less famous, but oh-so-wonderful, coffee
origins and explore these hidden treasures.
Along the way it is comforting to know that
whether you and I are sipping the Extra Fancy
Hawaiian
Kona Coffee, or the
sensational sweet flavors of Yellow Cuturra from Maui, 100% of
every dollar we spend for
Hawaiian
Kona Coffee goes directly into the American economy
and back to the farmers we call our fellow brothers and sisters. |
